About the Role

As an Assembly Manager, you are responsible for leading, developing, and optimizing operations within your area. You ensure that production, quality, working environment, and deliveries align with set goals and company guidelines. You move geographically between current projects and serve as a key link between production and sales/project management. Your base is in Fagersta, with proximity to competent colleagues in various fields. Today, our Assembly Management consists of an Assembly Manager and an Assembly Supervisor, where we see a clear need to expand the team with one additional Assembly Manager.

In this role, you lead and develop both working methods and processes, as well as employees within the department. You actively work to steer operations toward set goals regarding delivery, quality, profitability, and capacity. You are also driving the planning, follow-up, and development of both production technology and logistics.

You play a key role in creating efficient flows and improving productivity and the working environment, with ongoing dialogue and check-ins with production to ensure smooth execution. The work also involves contributing to and ensuring quality in operations, including ensuring that inspections and certificates are carried out according to current routines.

You are responsible for the working environment in the projects you lead, ensuring that legal requirements and guidelines are followed. You work proactively to reduce risks and ensure that both leaders and employees have the right conditions to work safely. Finally, the role includes reviewing drawing materials and control plans in connection with projects and contract work. The work as an Assembly Manager is varied, responsible, and independent. There is a broad competence base in the team, a good team spirit, and a willingness to collaborate. The office is characterized by an open culture where knowledge is shared, collaboration is encouraged, and we help each other in daily life.

The position is a permanent employment with start date as agreed directly with our client, Västanfors Steel Structures. A probationary period will apply.

About You

We are looking for you who are a confident and engaged leader with good ability to structure, prioritize, and develop operations and teams. You have a strong drive and a natural ability to create engagement among your employees.

We would like you to have:

• Experience in a leadership position within construction/assembly or similar production
• Good knowledge of working environment and safety work
• Experience working with quality and improvement processes
• Ability to make decisions and drive operations forward
• Good communication skills and experience collaborating with different functions

Having a valid driver's license (Category B) is a requirement.

Pre-assembled buildings managed in-house, the safe and high-quality alternative, is our philosophy. The buildings are designed by our constructors at the office in Fagersta using the latest 3D technology. The steel frames are then welded together, followed by rust protection and painting processing in Västanfors' own workshop across the yard. Afterward, our skilled assemblers erect the building on-site.
