The Role

Omtanken Assistans provides personal assistance for individuals with disabilities who have been granted assistance under LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) or SFB (Act on Financial Support for Certain Disabilities). We strive to be a workplace where everyone feels welcome, including clients, their families, and our staff. To achieve this, we focus on quality rather than quantity. We want everyone at Omtanken to feel a sense of community, which is why we maintain close collaboration at all levels.

Do you want to make a difference this summer?

If you want to do meaningful work and make a difference this summer, look no further! We are looking for several substitutes for the summer to support our clients.

The role of a personal assistant is highly varied, but regardless of the specific tasks, you will make a valuable difference to the person you work with. Your working hours will vary based on the client's needs, including day shifts, evening shifts, overnight shifts, and weekend work.

How to Apply

Send in your CV and cover letter today. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and there may be an opportunity to start training now so you can begin as a substitute already in the spring.

Don't forget to mention if you have a driver's license and access to a car, as this can be crucial for some clients to ensure you can get to the workplace.

Background Checks

If you are offered a position with one of our clients, you will be required to present a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (Utdrag ur belastningsregistret) in connection with the employment. There are two different legal requirements depending on whether you will be working with children or adults.

When working with children

Work with children with disabilities is subject to requirements for background checks according to the Act (2010:479) on background checks of personnel who perform certain measures for children with disabilities. A certificate from the Swedish Police Authority must be presented as a final step in the recruitment process before employment can become active.

When working with elderly or adults with disabilities

Work in the home of elderly persons or adults with disabilities is subject to background checks according to the Act (2026:43) on background checks when working in the home for elderly persons or adults with disabilities. The law applies from March 1, 2026. In support of the law, we as a company have a policy to request a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority in connection with new hires. The background check is carried out as a final step in the recruitment process and is part of our overall suitability assessment.
