We are currently looking for several substitute assistants for the summer to work with our clients. As a personal assistant, you will enjoy a varied role where you make a meaningful and valuable difference to the person you support. Working hours vary according to the client's needs and may include 24-hour shifts, day and evening shifts, awake nights, and weekend work.

Please send your CV and a cover letter today. We conduct ongoing interviews, and there may be an opportunity to start training immediately, allowing you to begin working as a substitute already in the spring.

Important: Please mention if you have a driver's license and access to a car, as this is crucial for some clients to enable commuting to the workplace.

Background Checks and Suitability Assessment

If you are hired by one of our clients, you will be required to provide a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record). This is done as a final step in the recruitment process as part of our overall suitability assessment. The requirements differ depending on which client group you will be working with:

Work with Children

Work with children with disabilities is subject to background checks according to the Act (2010:479) on background checks of personnel performing certain services for children with disabilities. A certificate of good conduct must be presented before employment can commence.

Work with Elderly or Adults with Disabilities

Work in the homes of elderly persons or adults with disabilities is subject to background checks according to the Act (2026:43) on background checks when working in the homes of elderly persons or adults with disabilities. The law comes into force on March 1, 2026. However, Omtanken Assistans already has a policy of requesting a certificate of good conduct upon hiring to ensure safety and suitability.
