Personal Assistant – Summer Substitute at Omtanken Assistans

Omtanken Assistans provides personal assistance to individuals with disabilities who have been granted support under LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) or SFB (Special Support for Certain Disabilities). Our goal is to create a workplace where everyone feels welcome – both clients, relatives, and staff. To achieve this, we prioritize quality over quantity and value a strong sense of community. We maintain close collaboration across all levels to ensure the best possible service.

Do you want to make a difference this summer?

If you are looking for meaningful work where you can truly make an impact, we have the opportunity for you! We are seeking several substitutes for the summer to support our clients.

Your Responsibilities

The role of a personal assistant is varied and involves making a significant difference for the person you support. Working hours are flexible and adapted to the client's needs, including:

  • 24-hour shifts
  • Day and evening shifts
  • Awake night shifts
  • Weekend work

Application and Recruitment

Send in your CV and cover letter today. We conduct ongoing interviews, and there may be an opportunity to start training immediately, allowing you to begin working as a substitute during the spring.

Important: Please indicate if you have a driver's license and access to a car, as this can be crucial for some clients to ensure you can reach the workplace.

Background Checks Upon Employment

If you are employed by one of our clients, you will be required to present a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (extract from the criminal record). The requirements differ depending on whether you work with children or adults.

Working with Children

Work with children with disabilities is subject to background checks according to the Act (2010:479) on background checks of personnel performing certain services for children with disabilities. An extract from the criminal record must be presented as the final step in the recruitment process before employment can commence.

Working with Elderly or Adults with Disabilities

Work in the home of elderly persons or adults with disabilities is subject to background checks according to the Act (2026:43) on background checks when working in the home for elderly persons or adults with disabilities. The law applies from March 1, 2026. As a company, we have a policy to request an extract from the criminal record upon hiring. The background check is conducted as a final step in the recruitment process and is part of our overall suitability assessment.
