Job Description
HEMAB (Härnösand Energi & Miljö AB) plays a central role in the region's development and sustainable transition. We are now looking for a Business Manager for the Power Grid who wants to take overall responsibility for leading, developing, and driving the power grid operations with a focus on high availability, good quality, and a safe working environment.
As Business Manager for the Power Grid, you will be part of the company's management team, reporting directly to the CEO, and leading an organization with competent employees within operations, maintenance, and contracting. The role offers a strategic and operational key position where you contribute to future-proofing the region's electricity supply.
You have overall budget, profit, and operational responsibility for the power grid. This implies strategic and operational leadership for managers and employees with a focus on a safe working environment. You drive business processes, develop long-term investment strategies, and ensure regulatory compliance within electricity safety and the environment, including owner responsibility. The role also involves broad collaboration internally and externally with authorities and partners.
We are looking for you who have a university education in electricity, energy, industry, or equivalent experience. You have several years of leadership experience within power distribution, energy, or related infrastructure. You also have good financial awareness, experience of budget responsibility, and knowledge of electricity legislation. Meritorious is experience of change management, efficiency work, and competence as an electrician for regulatory compliance.

You are a secure and clear leader who communicates expectations in a transparent way and has the ability to create engagement and involvement in your teams. The role also requires very good collaboration skills and a relationship-building approach, where you listen and solve challenges in a constructive and attentive manner.
Since HEMAB operates socially important activities and the role involves significant economic and safety delegations, the final candidate will undergo a background check in the form of a criminal record check and credit check before employment.

Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and develop employees and managers within the power grid department with a large focus on a good and safe working environment.
- Overall budget, profit, and planning responsibility for the power grid operations, including driving cost-effective and business-oriented processes.
- Develop long-term strategies for future investments, grid capacity, and digitalization trends.
- Ensure that laws, regulations, and guidelines are followed within electricity safety and the environment, and assume assigned delegations such as owner responsibility for high-voltage electrical installations.
- Have close collaboration with internal business areas and represent HEMAB in external contacts with other energy companies, authorities, and partners.
Qualifications
- Technical education in electricity, energy, industry, or similar at university or college level. Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent knowledge and experience that we assess as equal.
- Several years of leadership experience within power distribution, energy, technical consulting, or another strongly related infrastructure or construction area.
- Good financial awareness with experience of budget responsibility and understanding of electricity safety and current electricity legislation.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing, as the role involves extensive documentation, authority contacts, and internal communication.
- A B-driver's license is a requirement for the position as travel within the area of operation occurs.
- It is highly meritorious if you have experience of change management, efficiency work, and possess competence as an electrician for regulatory compliance.
