At Örebrobaden, you have the chance to share your knowledge while helping more residents of Örebro become swim competent and improve their well-being. We are looking for more pool attendants – could it be you we are looking for?
About the position
Here, you will have a varied job with many different types of tasks that you rotate between. Variety in everyday life, simply put! Our main task is to conduct swimming lessons for students in grades 3-6, which you will do approximately twice a week. In addition, your days will alternate between lifeguarding, reception work, and cleaning of everything from the swimming hall to the changing rooms. You are never alone here; usually, there are three people per shift, and in swimming instruction, you share the responsibility with a colleague. An important part of our job is lifesaving knowledge, which we update monthly. This is the job for you if you enjoy meeting people, whether it's a family with children, a senior citizen, a first-time visitor, or a regular!
Examples of duties:
- Conduct swimming lessons for primary school students and other groups
- Active surveillance in the swimming hall
- Maintenance of all premises, including daily cleaning and deep cleaning
- Reception work including cash handling, sale of gym memberships, receiving bookings, etc.
About the workplace
Örebrobaden is part of the Facility and Premises Operations unit within the Culture and Leisure Administration. We operate three municipal pools: Brickebacken Pool, Eyrabadet, and Hagabadet. Each pool has approximately 8-10 staff members. Your main workplace will be at one of these pools. We also operate fitness facilities with pools, group training, and strength training in Örebro together with the private actor Actic.

Qualifications
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- Completed upper secondary education
- Experience in planning and conducting swimming instruction
- Basic IT skills
Merits:
- Trained swimming teacher
- Trained pool lifeguard
- CPR and lifesaving training
- Experience working in a swimming hall
- Experience working in a service role
- Experience working with children's groups
Scope and start date
Employment type: Fixed-term contract (vacation replacement)
Number of positions: 2
Workload: 78% and 100% respectively
Start date: August 17, 2026, or according to agreement until May 31, 2027
Working hours: Day, evening, and weekend. Varying working hours between 06:00-22:00.
The 100% position is subject to necessary decisions being made.
Other information
As part of the process, swimming competence and lifesaving tests will be conducted.
Since the position involves working with children, a certificate of conduct (extract from the criminal record) will be requested upon employment.
