Your Role

Do you want to help build something from the ground up? We are looking for an Operational Buyer for our newly formed purchasing department within Saab Aeronautics, a role where you will have ample opportunity to influence working methods and processes from the very start!

As an Operational Buyer, you are responsible for the daily purchasing work within our indirect portfolio, which spans everything from production supplies to equipment and related services. You are the link that keeps the flow together, from identified need to approved delivery, and you work closely with internal requesters, strategic buyers, and external suppliers. The role is broad and varied and requires both structure and initiative. You are expected to actively contribute to developing and streamlining working methods, processes, and routines within your area of responsibility.

You will become part of a team of approximately ten colleagues within strategic and operational purchasing. The location is Linköping, and travel within and outside Sweden may occur.

Your Responsibilities:

• Handle operational purchasing for goods and services, both within and outside existing agreements, in accordance with business needs and delivery requirements.

• Drive the entire purchasing process: purchase inquiries, RFQs, purchase orders, delivery monitoring, returns, complaints, and invoice queries.

• Update and maintain supplier and purchasing data in the ERP system.

• Monitor supplier performance and actively contribute to supplier development and improvement work.

• Create delivery forecasts in collaboration with the strategic buyer.

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.

Your Profile

You are a person who thrives when many things are happening at once. You enjoy order and structure while working systematically, and you are comfortable taking initiative when the situation demands it. You naturally build trust with colleagues as well as suppliers, and you see problems as something to solve, not avoid.

Formal Requirements:

• Relevant education in purchasing or logistics, or equivalent work experience.

• Experience in operational purchasing or similar roles.

• Good proficiency in ERP systems and the Office package.

• Fluent Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
