Do you want to contribute to ensuring that buildings and operations have good fire protection? Do you want to help our residents through advice and information? Then this position is for you. We are looking for a driven fire inspector who wants to strengthen our organization.

Who are you?

You have no problem switching between different tasks and enjoy taking on new challenges. You understand the importance of well-functioning Systematic Fire Protection Work and appreciate the opportunity to influence both your own work and the unit's future direction.

You have completed Supervision A or equivalent older education, or alternatively have a degree from SMO where you started the education after 2020-01-01 (Supervision A included), or alternatively have extensive experience in Systematic Fire Protection Work or authority enforcement. You are goal-oriented, meticulous, and skilled at expressing yourself in speech and writing. You are also not unfamiliar with browsing through legal texts, regulations, and general advice to strengthen your view on a complex issue. You want to work with the rescue service's combined area of responsibility and have no problem with development and renewal.

You enjoy networking and do not sit silently at the coffee table. If someone comes with a question or a problem, you do your utmost to help and come up with your own ideas in a decent way. When working with you, people feel calm and secure because there are usually no question marks; you are clear but humble in your communication.

We see it as positive if you have completed any of MCF's leadership courses and are not unfamiliar with developing within the operational activities.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who does not compromise on quality on the way to the goal. This is what your future looks like at Norra Dalarna Fire Department:

  • Contribute to high legal certainty within the area of authority enforcement.
  • Contribute to the fire department's development and high trust.
  • Perform supervision and handle permit cases within the framework of the Act on Protection against Accidents and the Act on Flammable and Explosive Substances.
  • Handle referral cases such as building permits and alcohol licenses.
  • Contribute to stronger fire protection for third parties through advice and information.

It may also become relevant to combine the position with on-call duty as an incident commander or regional incident commander based on the needs of the operations.

Why should you work with us?

With us, you have the opportunity to combine meaningful work and family life with an active leisure time in what we think is Sweden's most beautiful landscape.

We are a federation driven by engagement and care for each other. We dare to stand out from the crowd but do so with the greatest humility. We believe that questioning norms drives us forward; we see solutions rather than highlighting problems.

"We strive for continuous development and to be modern in everything we do."
