About the role

As an HSE Engineer, you will play a central role in developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures. You will work to minimize risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and create a safety culture where employees' health and safety are always the focus.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies: Ensure that our procedures comply with current laws and industry standards.
• Risk assessment and inspections: Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify and manage potential hazards.
• Training and awareness: Plan and carry out health and safety training for employees.
• Incident reporting and investigations: Be responsible for reporting, investigating, and analyzing accidents and incidents to prevent future occurrences.
• Safety equipment: Check and monitor that protective equipment and emergency systems are in good condition and used correctly.
• Regulatory compliance: Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure the business is always compliant.
• Crisis management and preparedness: Develop and implement plans for emergency situations and lead operations during crises.

Qualifications:

• Relevant education in occupational health, safety, or risk management.
• Experience working in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
• Experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies.
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and safety standards.
• Experience with risk assessments, safety investigations, and reporting tools.
