The Department of Culture and Community Development comprises operations responsible for the management and maintenance of streets and parks, local traffic regulations, culture and leisure, as well as urban planning, design, and development.
The Workplace
Ludvika Sports Hall is a meeting place for schools, associations, and private individuals. It features a swimming pool, family bath, relaxation area, Actic gym, and a bowling alley. The sports hall is used for everything from physical education classes to club activities – a place where something is always happening!
Job Responsibilities
As a Swimming and Sports Hall Employee, you will have a varied workday with a focus on safety, service, and well-being:
- Lifeguarding – you are responsible for the safety of bathers together with your colleagues.
- Swimming Instruction – during the day, we conduct swimming instruction for the municipality's primary schools. In the evenings and on weekends, we offer swimming instruction for all ages in-house.
- Facility Maintenance – you ensure that the facility remains clean and fresh.
- Reception Work – you are the face of the hall and assist visitors with cash register services, bookings, questions, and general service.
Requirements
- We require relevant education or experience, such as training from the Swedish Association for Life Saving (e.g., pool lifeguard), swimming teacher or swimming teacher assistant training, upper secondary education with a relevant focus (e.g., Child and Youth Program), or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
- To succeed in this role, you need good language skills in Swedish and English, as a significant part of the job involves giving instructions and interacting with people in various situations.
- Basic computer skills are required for reception and administration, and experience with systems and digital tools is a merit.
