Just outside Malmö lies a leading paint company focused on innovation and sustainability. This site is one of the largest facilities in the Nordics for the development, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of paints for indoor and outdoor environments for consumers, customers, and the industry. The operations mainly consist of two companies. AkzoNobel Industrial Coatings, which is a leader in the sales and manufacturing of paints and coatings for industrial surface treatment of wood products such as windows, doors, floors, and furniture. Some of the customers include IKEA, Montana, Inwido, and Tarkett. The other company, AkzoNobel Decorative Coatings, develops, manufactures, distributes, and sells paint, varnish, putty, and wood protection products to professional painters and consumers. The portfolio includes the well-known brands Nordsjö, Sadolin, and Cuprinol.

Do you want to lead and develop a maintenance organization at one of AkzoNobel's largest production facilities? We are now looking for a Maintenance Manager for our facility in Arlöv, just outside Malmö. Here you will play a key role in ensuring high availability, developing the organization, and contributing to the facility's long-term development.

What will you work with?

As Maintenance Manager, you have overall responsibility for ensuring a safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance operation. You lead the organization through two direct reports – Mechanical Maintenance Manager and Electrical & Automation Manager – and work closely with the Reliability, Asset Management, Projects, and Process Safety functions.

The role combines operational responsibility with a long-term perspective and involves that you:

• Ensure high availability and operational reliability of the facility's equipment
• Lead, develop, and monitor the maintenance organization
• Responsible for maintenance budget, resource planning, and prioritization
• Drive improvement initiatives based on analysis, data, and business needs
• Collaborate with Reliability and Projects regarding investments, upgrades, and facility development
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and internal standards

You will work in a technically varied environment with advanced automation, mechanical systems, and a combination of both older and modern equipment. This offers great opportunities to influence, improve, and modernize maintenance work while building on an already strong operation.

The position is a permanent employment starting as soon as possible. You will be located at our facility in Arlöv and report to the Site Responsible Engineer.

Who are you?
We are looking for you who have experience leading maintenance operations in the process industry or other manufacturing operations and who are motivated by creating engagement, structure, and improvements.

To succeed in the role, we believe you:

• Have experience leading large maintenance organizations, preferably through managers or foremen
• Are accustomed to working with budgets, business management, and change work
• Have a good understanding of maintenance strategies, availability, operational reliability, and industrial processes
• Are a confident leader who creates engagement, structure, and accountability
• Have the ability to make decisions, prioritize, and create progress in a high-tempo business
• Communicate well and build strong collaborations across functional boundaries

We would appreciate it if you have an engineering degree in mechanical engineering, automation, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience. Experience with SAP PM or similar maintenance systems is meritorious.
