Do you want to work in a technically broad role where you can combine programming, automation, and problem-solving in exciting projects around the world?
Are you an Automation Engineer who thrives on variation, development, and the opportunity to work with everything from robotic solutions to complete automation plants? Then this could be the right next step for you.
At Gleco, we are now looking for an experienced Automation Engineer who wants to become part of a competent and tightly knit team where we help each other, develop together, and work with great technical breadth.
This is the role!
At Gleco, you will have the opportunity to work in a varied role where no two days are alike. Here, you will become part of an experienced team consisting of five Automation Engineers who together work on everything from special machines and robotic solutions to advanced automation projects within several different industries. The team is characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a flat hierarchy where we help each other, develop together, and simultaneously drive our own projects forward.
In the role, you will work in various project teams, collaborating closely with project managers, electrical designers, electricians, and other automation engineers throughout the entire project process – from idea and programming to commissioning at the customer's site. The close collaboration between departments creates a dynamic daily routine where we find solutions together and drive projects forward.
You will primarily work with:
Project work from idea to commissioning
Development of automation solutions and PLC programming
HMI and SCADA
Programming and integration of robotic and vision systems
Optimization and further development of existing systems
Commissioning and support at customer sites
Close collaboration in project teams with various competencies
Thanks to the great variation in projects, you will continuously have the opportunity to broaden your technical skills and be challenged with new technologies and solutions. At Gleco, you are also offered a workplace with short decision-making paths, high technical competence, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit where ideas and initiatives are appreciated.
The work is mainly based in Åstorp, but travel and commissioning at customer sites occur as a natural and developing part of the role.
Does this sound like you?
You are a person driven by technology, problem-solving, and development. You enjoy the variation of working with different types of projects and appreciate an environment where you take responsibility, think creatively, and contribute your own ideas. To thrive at Gleco, we believe you are flat-hierarchy oriented, collaborative, and enjoy sharing knowledge with others. At the same time, you are self-reliant and confident in driving your own projects forward. You also appreciate working in a company where decision-making paths are short and where we build solutions together that actually make a difference at the customer site.
To succeed in the role, you should bring:
Good technical understanding and experience working in a project-based manner
Experience with PLC programming
Good experience with Siemens and Mitsubishi
Knowledge of HMI and SCADA
Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting
Valid driver's license (Category B)
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
