About the role

In the role of assistant nurse on our ICU (Intensive Care Unit), you will work with varied patient groups within intensive care, cardiac intensive care, intermediate care, and post-operative care. We offer a secure and stable work environment with experienced colleagues of high competence. The workplace is characterized by a strong sense of teamwork and good cohesion. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends, and possibly also nights. The position is a permanent full-time role (100%), but part-time work can be discussed. We also have a temporary position of approximately 1 year with the possibility of extension.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Ensuring the patient's best interests and providing nursing care for critically ill patients.
• Monitoring and regular checks of vital parameters, blood sampling, wound dressings, and mobilization.
• Supporting, informing, and involving relatives in patient care with an empathetic approach.
• Handling medical technology and medical technical products safely.

What we offer:

We have a schedule with influence and partially flexible working hours within the framework of "Kom och Gå" (Come and Go). You will receive individualized induction and are offered ongoing training and competence development in areas relevant to us.

We offer an annual wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK via Epassi.

About you

For this position, you need:

• To be a trained assistant nurse with a certificate of protected professional title.
• Experience in emergency care.

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Experience in intensive care or cardiac care.

You are responsible, structured, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. As a person, you are positive, meticulous, and patient-focused. Your attitude is warm and professional towards patients, relatives, and colleagues. You are self-reliant, take initiative, and start activities when you see the need. About us

On the intensive care unit at Norrtälje Hospital, we provide intensive care, cardiac intensive care, intermediate care, and post-operative care. There are nine care beds here, three of which are full-fledged intensive care beds. Around 60 employees with broad and high competence work with us.
