At Attendo, we are now looking for assistant nurses for home care in Karlstad. Here, dedicated and skilled employees work every day of the week. There is a good sense of camaraderie where everyone helps and supports each other so that the customers we serve have it as good as possible.

For us, the customer is important and is treated with respect and warmth. Employees work with high quality and have support from routines and guidelines in their work. Basic hygiene is particularly important, and all new employees receive training in this to feel confident in how to handle protective equipment.

The operations are located in Karlstad and cover the entire municipality. We meet customers between 07:00–22:00, seven days a week.

About the role

As an assistant nurse with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and stimulating environment for our customers. You are responsible for providing good care and support. Creating a positive and social atmosphere during mealtimes is a large part of your role, as well as contributing with activities that brighten up the everyday lives of our elderly.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Personal care according to the organization's routines, starting from the customer's individual needs and wishes.
• Assist with preparing, cooking, and serving meals, cleaning, laundry, etc., as needed.
• Perform documentation and work based on decided interventions.
• Collaborate with external and internal contacts such as guardians, relatives, residents, nurses, and rehabilitation staff.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Assistant nurse education of at least 1350 credits.
• Professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from current/former employer regarding permanent employment as an assistant nurse.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language (spoken and written).
• Good computer skills/computer literacy.
• Driver's license B.
• Cycling experience.

Meritorious:

• Experience from care work in elderly care.
• Experience with delegation.
