Your Workplace

Ward 9 is a geriatric medical care unit specialized in the care of elderly patients. Many patients have a combination of multiple diseases, which we are particularly skilled in managing. We work with person-centered nursing care that takes into account the complex care needs arising from multimorbidity and natural aging. Patients arrive at our unit via the emergency department, other care units, or through direct admission via mobile teams.

We are a stable work group with experienced colleagues where support and help are always readily available. There is a strong sense of commitment and a good social climate among colleagues.

Your Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, you and your colleagues share the responsibility for ensuring good care and support for our geriatric patients. Your role involves various tasks based on the needs of the patient and their relatives. The work is theme-based, valuing all professions, with the nursing assistant playing a central role in the team as you are often the one working closest to the patients and their relatives. Duties include, but are not limited to, blood sampling, ECGs, catheterization, and wound dressings.

The ward has a high volume of students, which means that guiding and teaching students during various patient-related procedures is also part of the nursing assistant's role.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with experience working in inpatient hospital care. Specialist training in elderly care is an advantage but not a requirement.

You are confident in your professional role as a nursing assistant. As a person, you are reliable, positive, and able to prioritize and make independent decisions. Personal suitability is highly valued.
