We are looking for a physiotherapist for our pelvic floor rehabilitation unit in Karlstad, offering a developing role within a dedicated team.

Your workplace

The Specialist Rehabilitation unit at Karlstad Central Hospital is part of the Health and Rehabilitation business area. Approximately 80 employees work within the unit, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and music and art therapists. Rehabilitation assistants are also employed at the unit.

We are a friendly group of mixed ages and diverse competencies who support and help each other daily. Within specialist rehabilitation, there are approximately 40 physiotherapists in total, providing excellent opportunities for collegial exchange and knowledge transfer. We work based on a career development model that describes how one can develop in their clinical work.

Your responsibilities

Two physiotherapists currently staff the pelvic floor rehabilitation unit. We have a long waiting list and now need help to reduce it.

As a physiotherapist within pelvic floor rehabilitation, you work with the examination, assessment, and treatment of pelvic floor issues in patients regardless of gender. This may include pain management, incontinence, bladder and bowel emptying difficulties, as well as follow-up care after childbirth tears and gynecological surgeries. Patients are referred from various departments, including the women's clinic, oncology, surgery, and urology, or they may apply via their own healthcare request.

You will collaborate closely with other professional groups and may participate in teams for conditions such as pelvic cancer and endometriosis. Work within inpatient care at the maternity ward may also occur.

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist with experience working in pelvic floor rehabilitation.

You are an independent and self-motivated person who takes responsibility and drives your work forward. You collaborate well with colleagues and other professions and contribute to a positive working environment. You have a holistic perspective and work in a person-centered manner, focusing on both the patient's and the organization's needs.
