Your workplace

Ward 46 provides 24-hour inpatient care for patients with mood disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar diagnosis with hypomania, and/or psychosis-like symptoms. We also offer acute inpatient care for severely ill eating disorder patients and have a self-selected admission care form for patients with emotional instability who have a contract for this form of care. The ward has 12 beds.

For us, good teamwork, high-quality psychiatric nursing, and professional treatment of our patients are important. Our healthcare is evidence-based, appropriate, individualized, efficient, and equitable. We work with person-centered care that starts from the individual patient's needs. Care should be provided close to the patient and on the patient's terms.

Your responsibilities

As a nurse, you have a central and responsible role in the nursing team. You work in a team with care assistants and doctors and collaborate with other therapists in the operation. The work includes responsibility for observation, assessment, and implementation of medical interventions. You lead and support the nursing staff and prioritize and distribute tasks based on current needs. Together with colleagues, you are also responsible for documentation, planning, and follow-up of care interventions.

The position requires good independence and the ability to both maintain a secure and stable care environment and act quickly in acute situations.

The employment is a mixed service, which implies weekend work and some night shifts.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. It is meritorious if you are a specialist nurse in psychiatry and/or have previous experience from working with psychiatric nursing.

As a person, you work independently and take responsibility for your tasks in a structured and reliable way. At the same time, you easily create good relationships with both patients and colleagues, which contributes to a positive work climate. You show a professional attitude and good judgment in your practice and make well-considered assessments from both medical and human perspectives. You are flexible and adaptable when conditions change, and your empathetic ability allows you to treat people with respect and understanding.
