The Role of Assistant Nurse, Care Assistant, and Support Staff

As care staff here, you motivate and assist care recipients based on their individual conditions, needs, and wishes. Duties may vary from personal care, support during meals, assistance with social activities, certain health and medical tasks, and collaboration with home healthcare, colleagues, and relatives. We work with various assignments where you, as a representative of your unit, help drive the operations forward in working groups, for example, in representative roles. Duties also include being a contact person, planning, implementing, documenting, and following up on care work for individuals who need support and assistance.

You will work according to a schedule covering days, evenings, and every other weekend. You will have the opportunity to perform health and medical interventions after instruction and delegation from a nurse, as well as to perform digital documentation.

Your Profile

In your daily work, you show respect and consideration for the people you meet in your professional role. You have an open and positive attitude, with the care recipient's needs as your starting point, and you distinguish clearly between matters and persons. Working with people often involves changing conditions and new information. You can quickly adapt your perspective and approach, see opportunities in change, and make well-founded decisions even under time pressure. You work together with others to carry out tasks and achieve goals. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• is at least 18 years old
• has good computer skills
• expresses themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Our Offer and Other Information

We offer a permanent position with a start date to be agreed upon.

The position is full-time or as agreed. Within the Department of Care & Social Services, all employees in home care and care and residential homes are employed at 100% capacity, but employees have the opportunity to reduce their capacity to the desired level based on operational needs.

Before an employment offer is made, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented. Prepare promptly by ordering an extract from the criminal record. You must present Work in the home with elderly and people with disabilities (e-service | Swedish Police Authority).

Background checks may be conducted before employment.

As of July 1, 2023, "Assistant Nurse" is a protected professional title.
