Are you an engaged leader with experience in driving change? We are now looking for a Production Manager for our Pipe and Welding Department!

Your Role

As a Production Manager, you lead the daily operations in the Pipe and Welding Department and work actively to develop and streamline the business.

In the Pipe Workshop, pipes are manufactured for, among other things, the fuel and hydraulic systems of the Gripen fighter jet. In the Welding Workshop, components for the Gripen are also produced. The most common welding method is TIG welding in aluminum, although other materials and methods are also used. The materials vary – aluminum, titanium, stainless steel. Approximately 20 employees work in the two workshops today.

The departments are undergoing a transformation towards more automated manufacturing. Responsibility for personnel matters is included in the role, and the Production Manager also leads the daily operations of the support team. The support team includes quality assurance, production engineering, and short-term planning.

As a Production Manager, you will report to the Workshop Manager and be part of the workshop's management group. Saab is in an expansion phase, which means changes may occur in both the role and areas of responsibility.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you should be structured, independent, resilient under pressure, and have strong collaboration skills. We prefer that you have previous leadership experience and that you, as a leader, are clear, engaged, and focused on developing both the business and your employees. Experience leading in a workshop environment as well as knowledge of welding and/or pipe manufacturing is advantageous.

Good knowledge of English is required as many of our documents are written in English. Significant weight will be placed on your experience and personal qualities.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance process according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires a security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
