VINAB is now looking for engaged Project Managers for industrial projects for operations in northern Sweden.
About the role:
At VINAB, you will have an operational and varied role where you lead projects in the field, work closely with customers, and become a key part of the company's continued growth journey within the mining, steel, and process industries. As a Project Manager at VINAB, you will join a tightly knit project team where flexibility, collaboration, and personal responsibility are a natural part of everyday life. The projects are primarily directed towards customers such as LKAB, Boliden, and SSAB, and include assembly projects, steel structures, and mechanical maintenance.
The role is operational and hands-on – here you are expected not only to lead the projects but also to be present in the operations, support the team, and build good relationships with both customers and employees.
Travel occurs regularly between the company's operational sites in Norrbotten, with the Malmfälten area being one of the main hubs.
Your responsibilities:
- Drive industrial projects from start to finished delivery
- Plan resources, personnel, and materials
- Lead assembly and maintenance work in the field
- Maintain ongoing contact with customers in the mining, steel, and process industries
- Coordinate welders, fitters, foremen, and subcontractors
- Responsible for purchasing, orders, and documentation
- Monitor project economics, schedules, and quality
- Ensure work is carried out according to current safety requirements and industry standards
- Work in business and project systems such as NEXT and the Office suite
We are looking for you who:
Has experience from the industry and thrives in an environment where the pace is sometimes high and problem-solving is a natural part of daily life. We would like you to have a technical education in areas such as mechanical engineering, industry, production, or project management – or equivalent work experience.
Advantageous with experience of:
- Project management within industry or contracting
- Mining, steel, or process industry
- High customer contact and personnel leadership
- Field work and meeting clear deadlines

Other:
- A B-class driver's license is required.
- BAS-U certification is advantageous.
- Good knowledge of English is advantageous, as well as other languages.
Practical information:
- Location: Flexible within Norrbotten.
- Working hours: Monday–Friday, varying working hours may occur depending on the respective project setup.
- Travel: Occurs regularly in the role.
- Overnight stays: May occur when working at other locations.

VINAB currently has approximately 120 employees and operates in northern Sweden, offering services in project management, design, manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance for heavy industry. VINAB has offices and workshops in Kiruna, Gällivare, Överkalix, Kalix, Luleå, and Piteå. Our assignments are primarily within the mining, steel, paper, and pulp industries, but we also work with the construction and infrastructure sectors as well as other industry-adjacent operations.
