About the Position

Nybacken is a residential facility (housing with special support) for adults aged 21 and older. Two-thirds of our residents are over 65 years old and belong to the social psychiatry sector. The facility is located in Stora Sköndal, Stockholm. We have 30 places and 24/7 staffing. We serve individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness.

At Nybacken, you will be part of a team consisting of supported living staff, a team leader, a nurse working 50%, and an occupational therapist. An important part of your role is to supervise our supported living staff so that together you can provide each resident with the best possible life. Based on national quality registers, you will conduct risk assessments and follow-ups to ensure very high quality in the operations. The work involves both acute and planned interventions.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring that residents receive good and safe care and treatment. You work to build good relationships with residents, relatives, and other care providers, and collaborate with psychiatric outpatient care and primary care. Your responsibilities include creating individual health plans and ensuring these are kept alive in daily work. Additionally, you actively participate in meeting forums according to the unit's planning and contribute to the development of the unit's work. Other standard tasks for a nurse in housing with special support are also included.

Your Profile

As a nurse with us, you need to be careful and organized in your work. You work independently and have good problem-solving skills. In your role, you have many different contacts, which requires good collaboration skills. You feel comfortable supervising supported living staff in health care interventions. You act from a professional approach with a high sense of service, focusing on the best interests of the resident and the operations. You have engagement and the desire to drive a social psychiatric residence with the highest quality.

Conditions

The work is during daytime, Monday–Friday, with weekends off. The position is a fixed-term assignment of 50% starting September 1st until June 15th, 2027.

An extract from the criminal record register must be presented before employment. It is therefore good if you order an extract already at the application stage, as it may take some time to receive it.

Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with experience or further education within psychiatry or open healthcare. Specialist training in psychiatry is meritorious. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, computer skills, and good habits regarding documentation. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
