BioVet AB is now looking for a biomedical analyst or biomedical scientist to join our laboratory in Sollentuna.

About us:

BioVet AB is Sweden's leading private veterinary medical laboratory specializing in pathology for companion animals. We perform diagnostics on tissue samples and tumors from animal clinics and veterinary hospitals throughout Sweden and the rest of the Nordic region. Every year, we handle over 10,000 referrals within histopathology and cytology. Our laboratory is located in Norrviken, Sollentuna, just 300 meters from the commuter train station.

Here, you will become part of an engaged team of approximately 14 people, consisting of biomedical analysts, biomedical scientists, veterinary pathologists, and medical secretaries. We offer a work environment where collaboration, quality, and development are at the forefront.

About the role:

In the role of biomedical analyst/biomedical scientist, you will work broadly within histopathology with varied tasks in a specialized operation.

Responsibilities:

• Dissection of formalin-fixed tissue material
• Embedding and microtomy (sectioning)
• Staining, including immunohistochemistry
• Laboratory-related tasks within histopathology

We are looking for someone who:

• Is educated as a biomedical analyst or has equivalent education
• Has experience with histopathological work (meritorious, but not a requirement)
• Is meticulous, structured, and quality-conscious
• Thrives in both independent work and team settings
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
