The Technical Administration's task is to make Borås a beautiful and sustainable city that its residents can be proud of. The administration is organized into three departments responsible for the city's streets, parks, forests, and public transport. In total, we have approximately 180 employees contributing in various ways to fulfill the committee's mission. The position of Senior Traffic Planner, with an environmental focus, is located within the Traffic Unit, where you will be part of a team of ten employees. The unit handles a wide variety of issues regarding the regulation of the traffic environment, authority decisions, and traffic planning.

The Traffic Unit is part of the Street Department, which is responsible for streets, roads, squares, pedestrian and cycle paths, as well as the municipal Land Survey Office in Borås.

The department works in close cooperation with other actors and plays an important role in the municipal urban planning process. The Street Department consists of 38 employees.

As a Senior Traffic Planner with an environmental focus, you will be responsible for coordination, investigation, planning, evaluation, and project management regarding issues related to Borås City's municipal traffic system. You will be one of the department's representatives in the work to design the city's traffic environment and infrastructure in connection with the new railway corridor and station. You will also participate in work related to area plans, detailed plans, traffic plans, and similar strategic projects. The role is expected to contribute to sustainable and attractive urban development with modern mobility solutions. You will have many contact points both within and outside the organization.

You have a relevant university degree and/or many years of working experience that the employer considers equivalent. You should have several years of experience working with traffic investigations, traffic planning, and urban planning. You must have experience working in projects. You are proficient in analyzing and developing society's transport systems, working with traffic issues within urban planning, and sustainable travel and transport. To thrive in this role, you are self-motivated, proactive, and structured. You are outgoing, good at collaborating with others, and have good verbal and written communication skills in Swedish. You enjoy working at a fast pace, have good communication skills, and are adept at building good relationships. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. A valid B-driver's license is required.
