Do you thrive in a role where you set the strategic direction for IT security while staying technically close to work hands-on with complex Linux operations and infrastructure? We are now looking for a Senior Sysadmin / IT Security Lead for our office in Malmö. Here you get the best of both worlds: you become our internal anchor for operations and monitoring, while driving our ISO 27001 work and shaping the security strategy – both for Netset and in close collaboration with our parent company, Movement Software.
For over 25 years, we have become the market leader in B2B and B2G trade software for the IT and telecom industry. Our flagship platform, Nettailer, powers online shops, purchasing flows, and distributor integrations for over 350 IT resellers – from Swedish SMEs to global companies like ATEA, Advania, Telia, and Vivicta.
About the role
Today, we have one system administrator in place – now we want to build a stronger team. As Senior Sysadmin / IT Security Lead, you will have overall responsibility where you and your colleague ensure everything runs smoothly in our environments, while you step up to own the security and compliance agenda.
You will work closely with our team in Malmö, but also collaborate closely with the group's central IT and security team to drive ISO 27001 and other frameworks jointly, with Netset as your primary focus. You need to be technically skilled enough to understand the server park, patching, and networking in depth, but your main task is to secure the balance between stable operations and the highest security level.
Your areas of responsibility include mainly:
IT Security & Compliance: Drive and further develop the ISO 27001 work at Netset and ensure compliance with relevant frameworks and regulations (e.g., NIS2 and GDPR).
Strategy & Risk Analysis: Develop, present, and manage the IT security strategy towards the management group, as well as conduct ongoing risk analyses and security audits.
Infrastructure & Operations: Responsible for operations, performance monitoring, and backup of servers at our hosting partners (mostly Linux environments) where our customers' solutions are hosted.
Process Improvements: Together with our existing sysadmin, review, harden, and improve operations, patch, and security processes, as well as handle incidents and vulnerability analyses.
Technical Support & Architecture: Act as an escalation point and support for customers' IT environments/providers, as well as support the internal organization with infrastructure for the development process.
About you
To do well, thrive, and be successful in the role, your attitude is just as important as your experience. We are looking for an independent, structured team player with strong self-drive. You have the ability to communicate complex technical security issues in a pedagogical way, whether you are talking to our developers or the management group.
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
Extensive experience in IT operations in Linux environments (routing, firewalls, VPN, network security).
Experience leading or actively driving ISO 27001 work (certification, internal audit, or equivalent).
Experience in vulnerability management, patch management, and server hardening.
Practical experience with Docker and container-based workflows.
Good understanding of MS SQL (database management and performance monitoring).
It is an advantage if you have knowledge in:
Scripting and automation (Bash, Ansible).
Cloud security and cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Virtualization (VMware/KVM), Kubernetes, Tomcat, or Apache/Nginx.
SIEM, logging, and incident management.
