About the role

We are looking for an Information Security Engineer (NGE) for an exciting assignment with a rapidly growing client. The organization is in an expansion phase with long-term, socially beneficial projects where IT plays a central role in enabling business development.

You will become part of a team within Business Applications working on the development of cutting-edge internal systems. Here you will have the opportunity to work in a modern, global environment with a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and continuous development.

The work is primarily remote, with some on-site presence when needed. The team uses modern collaboration tools and works closely together through virtual working methods, supplemented by recurring joint team meetings.

Main responsibilities

In the role of Information Security Engineer, you will work in a small, cross-functional team where you contribute expertise in information security, requirements definition, and analysis. The work is carried out agilely with a focus on continuous deliveries and value creation in every sprint.

You collaborate closely with other teams and business areas to ensure that requirements and needs are met, while handling technical interfaces and security-related issues. An important part of the assignment is to contribute to building a strong compliance function, including security analysis and monitoring of internal audit processes.

• Work with requirements definition and analysis within information security
• Interpret and translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to the development of compliance and security processes
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure requirement fulfillment
• Participate in development, testing, and operations in an agile environment
• Share knowledge and contribute to the team's joint competence development

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in information security. You are an engaged and curious person who thrives in teams where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central. You have a structured approach, are solution-oriented, and are driven to develop together with others.

• Relevant education or equivalent work experience in IT/information security
• Experience in information security, security requirements, or analysis work
• Experience working with compliance or regulatory frameworks
• Ability to work with requirements definition and requirements analysis
• Experience with agile working methods and cross-functional teams
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English

To thrive in this role, we see that you have knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

• Security practices, such as OWASP
• Regulations such as the ISO 27000 series, GDPR, SOC2, or DORA
• IAM and access control (role- and policy-based)
• Security testing, such as MITM or similar

Meritorious

• Experience working in regulatorily demanding environments (e.g., NIS2, NIST)
• Technical understanding of system development and operational environments

Additional information

• The assignment is primarily remote
• Opportunity to work from different offices/hubs depending on geographical location
• Occasional travel and physical meetings may occur

This is a fixed-term employment with NXT Interim Malmö AB for the period September 2026 – August 2027, with a possibility of extension. We apply collective agreements. The position is subject to security clearance requirements according to current security protection regulations. This implies a requirement for a passed background check and, in some cases, specific citizenship requirements.
