Support in Ordinary Housing is the municipality's provider of home care services. Our primary mission is to provide support and assistance to elderly people living in the municipality. We aim to offer our users personal service and high-quality care day and night, throughout the year. Security, dignity, and continuity are important cornerstones that guide our work. Our home care service is divided into the following areas: Jakobsberg, Viksjö, Kallhäll, and Barkarby.

We are now looking for dedicated employees for one of our units in Barkarby who wish to work evenings and weekends on a part-time basis. The position is 63.15%.

Job Responsibilities

Daily tasks involve providing support and assistance to our customers based on their needs and interests.

The work consists of helping users in their daily lives, ranging from personal hygiene to actively promoting a meaningful and stimulating existence. This means we need to work according to a schedule to be able to help as many people as possible. Other tasks include running errands, laundry, cleaning, and accompaniment.

As an employee, when you are out meeting customers and their relatives, you often have the best overview of how to organize your day. You can take this knowledge and experience back to the office, discuss with team leaders and colleagues, and find the best way to ensure a good work environment and quality of life for our customers.

We work in the customer's home, so it is important to be attentive, flexible, and adaptable to the individual. Smoking and pets may be present. You travel between workplaces by cycling, walking, or driving a car. You also have pre-shift meetings and always end the day by ensuring documentation is completed to facilitate the next shift. We also offer ongoing training, development meetings, and opportunities for reflection and exchange with other units.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who exude calmness and can adapt to unexpected situations. You have strong empathy, social competence, and good teamwork skills. You treat customers, relatives, and colleagues with respect and demonstrate professional conduct in all situations. Naturally, it is beneficial if you are familiar with and work according to the national value base for elderly care.

We want you to:

• be a certified assistant nurse (undersköterska) with a protected title issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare
• have experience in elderly care, healthcare, and social services
• fluent in speaking and writing Swedish
• and have good computer skills

It is an advantage if you:

• have previously worked in home care
• have a B driving license and can drive a vehicle for work
• can cycle, either a regular bike or an e-bike
• have knowledge of documentation within the Social Services Act (SoL)
• have experience working in Phonirocare or another time-tracking system
