About the Role

We are looking for a Verification Engineer to join a highly technical environment where you will be responsible for testing, verification, and development of test strategies for moderately complex hardware and system projects. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality, performance, and reliability throughout the development lifecycle.

You will work with a high degree of independence while also collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in test, development, validation, and hardware engineering.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and enhance test strategies, methodologies, and workflows to improve product quality and testing efficiency
  • Plan and execute verification and validation tests according to established test plans and procedures
  • Participate in design reviews with a focus on testability and product improvement
  • Identify, select, and operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, generators, and optical debug tools
  • Perform hardware debugging, root cause analysis, and propose corrective actions
  • Ensure test results and documentation comply with internal and external requirements
  • Set up and maintain laboratory infrastructure, including electronics racks and cryogenic systems
  • Support lightweight software development (Python) for controlling and maintaining lab equipment
  • Contribute to selection of server, storage, and specialized hardware for data center environments
Requirements / Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

  • 4–5 years of experience in hardware verification or a similar role
  • Strong experience in test planning and test design
  • Solid debugging and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of hardware architecture and hardware/OS-level systems
  • Experience with data analysis and technical problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks
  • Basic programming skills in Python
  • Good understanding of lab environments and test equipment
Nice to Have
  • Experience with cryogenic systems or advanced laboratory infrastructure
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
  • Background in large-scale product validation or enterprise hardware environments
Who You Are

You are an analytical and detail-oriented engineer who thrives in a hands-on, technically complex environment. You enjoy solving problems, improving systems, and working closely with both hardware and software.

You are comfortable taking ownership, driving tasks forward independently, and making technical decisions. Curiosity about how systems work at a deep level drives your approach, and you enjoy collaborating with others while also being confident working on your own.

This is a full-time, six-month consulting assignment requiring on-site presence five days per week in central Gothenburg. Standard working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The role requires professional proficiency in English and working knowledge of Python.
