We are looking for an engaged and technically skilled network technician specializing in firewalls for our client in the defense industry! This is a full-time consulting assignment starting on August 3, 2026, and running until July 31, 2027.

About the role

In this role, you will work with architects and other technicians on design and implementation. It is crucial that network solutions adhere to the security standards required of us. Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing and configuring firewalls and security solutions.
• Monitoring and maintaining network performance and security.
• Developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
• Troubleshooting network issues and security incidents.
• Collaborating with other technical teams to optimize network solutions.
• Conducting risk analyses and vulnerability assessments.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, capable of working both independently and in a team. Additionally, we require the following qualifications:

• Relevant education in IT, network technology, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience working with firewalls is a requirement.
• Experience with firewall solutions such as Cisco, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and topologies.
