We are a primary school (grades F-6) located in the countryside just outside Norrtälje, with approximately 160 students. Our kitchen also prepares and serves meals for the preschool, meaning the kitchen is responsible for approximately 270 portions daily.

The Role

As a cook at Skederid School, you will work together with colleagues in the kitchen to plan, prepare, and serve meals for the school's students and the preschool's children.

The tasks include, among other things:

• Preparation and serving of meals
• Special diets and adapted meals
• Salad preparation
• Self-control and food hygiene
• Orders and receipt of goods
• Dishwashing and other common tasks in the kitchen and dining room

The kitchen is responsible for approximately 270 portions daily for both the school and the preschool, which places demands on planning, collaboration, and quality in all parts of the operation.

What you need to bring

Requirements

• Cook training or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• Experience working in a kitchen
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and self-control
• Good ability to collaborate and work in a structured manner
