The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Committee and the Primary School Committee. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. About the workplace

Vistaskolan is a preschool to grade 9 school with approximately 860 students. Here, a dedicated staff group works to give our students the absolute best conditions for an inspiring and educational school time. In pleasant, modern premises surrounded by beautiful nature, we strive to give students a safe, creative, developmental, and fantastic start in life.

The school has a high degree of digitalization and works with iPads in grades preschool to 6, as well as Chromebooks in grades 7–9. Our vision is: Meaningful and joyful learning for all.

About the position

We are now looking for a student assistant for a fixed-term assignment during the entire autumn semester, with a possible opportunity for extension over the spring semester.

As a student assistant, you work closely with the student throughout the school day and are a central part of creating structure, safety, and predictability. Your work takes place both during lesson time and in other contexts such as breaks and transitions. You collaborate closely with teachers and other staff to ensure a consistent and professional approach to the student.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Is highly relational and puts the student at the center. The ability to build a safe, trusting relationship is crucial.
• Works from an approach of "frameworks with warmth" – clarity and structure combined with care and presence.
• Has good competence in low-arousal approaches and can handle challenging situations with calm and stability.
• Has good knowledge of NPD (neurodevelopmental disorders) and can adapt support based on the student's needs.
• Is proactive and preventive in your work to reduce the risk of disruptive behavior and elopement.
• Can create clear frameworks, structures, and predictability in the student's school day.
• Is flexible, secure, and resilient, even in situations requiring patience and adaptation.
• Works closely with other staff and contributes to a consistent and professional approach to the student.

We prefer that you have a high school education and experience working with children and young people, preferably within school or other educational activities. Experience working with students in need of special support and knowledge of clarifying pedagogy are meritorious. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
