Your future tasks

The position of groundskeeper at sports facilities is located within the Property Department, which is part of the Service Sector. In addition to property management, the sector also handles issues related to food and meals, transport, and cleaning.

As a groundskeeper in the Sports and Facilities unit, you become part of a team that manages Finspång Municipality's sports facilities, with Arena Grosvad being the largest. The facility includes, among other things, an artificial turf field, football pitches, an ice hall, a bandy rink, an athletics arena, an archery range, jogging tracks, and Finspång's largest sports hall, Aluceum. The unit also includes the operation and maintenance of Finspång Municipality's other sports halls, jogging tracks, canoe routes, and spontaneous sports areas such as outdoor gyms and swimming beaches.

The role also involves

Property maintenance, care of green areas, machine maintenance, cleaning, and other common tasks at sports facilities and swimming beaches.

The work is scheduled during daytime Monday to Friday during spring and summer. In autumn and winter, you work on a shift schedule, including ice resurfacing in the ice hall and bandy rink, as well as green area maintenance as long as the seasons last.

Who are you?

• You have previous experience working with the care of green areas.
• You have experience handling the machines and vehicles that may be used in the work.
• You are a reliable person with a high sense of responsibility and are confident in your work.
• You are self-driven, see what needs to be done in daily operations, and are eager to take initiative to develop it.
• You are engaged by contributing to a learning organization, sharing your knowledge, and having a desire to develop.
• You are service-oriented by always showing good treatment and keeping the customer in focus.
• You have good social competence and are an ambassador for the operations.
• You are responsible and meticulous in your work and can take own initiatives, as the work is independent and requires flexibility.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Being well acquainted with sports facilities, lighted jogging tracks, swimming beaches, and canoe routes in Finspång Municipality.
• Having experience in servicing and repairing the machines used in the work, holding a machine operator's license, and having an interest in sports, exercise, and outdoor life.

We require at least a Category B driver's license; a B96 or BE license is an advantage.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
