The Department of Children and Education works on behalf of the Preschool Board and the Primary and Secondary School Board. The department is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. About Glömsta School
Glömsta School is a municipal primary school from preschool class to grade 9, located in the scenic Glömsta area in the southwestern part of Huddinge. The school features modern architecture and a unique schoolyard. We have a strong student health service and a special focus on teaching core subjects, enabled by increased teacher density that allows for smaller and flexible teaching groups. The school also has a group for newly arrived students and provides teaching in smaller settings for students needing special support for a large part of the school day. The after-school program is for students from preschool class to grade 3, after which an Open After-School Club is offered for students in grades 4–6.
Our strengths include qualified teachers, a full-staff student health service with all professions, a well-developed recess activity program, and new modern facilities. Our staff is characterized by a desire to improve shared structures to enhance mutual understanding.
The employment begins on August 10th.
About the Job
We are looking for a certified primary school teacher for the after-school program (fritidshem) with subject qualification in music. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating music teaching in grades F–3. You will also work together with experienced colleagues to develop and drive the after-school program's activities.
You have a professional and accommodating approach when interacting with students and guardians. You are attentive, patient, engaged, and flexible, with an easy ability to build good relationships with both students and colleagues. You see every student and have an inclusive attitude.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- is a certified primary school teacher for the after-school program with subject qualification in music.
- is well familiar with the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School (Lgr22).
You are flexible, have good collaboration skills, and easily build good relationships and collaborate with students, guardians, the work team, the school's student health team, and school leadership. In your pedagogical leadership, you are a clear leader who creates a work environment characterized by safety, trust, and respect in the classroom. With good didactic skills, subject knowledge, clear structure, and varied teaching adapted to the individual student, you create the best conditions for our students to meet the grading criteria in Lgr 22.
You view documentation and assessment of students' knowledge development as a natural part of your work. You have good analytical and reflective skills and constantly develop your teaching. You see yourself as an integral part of creating good conditions for students' learning.
Experience working from a special educational needs perspective is an advantage.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
