We are now looking for a team-playing dentist who wants to make a difference!

Main duties and responsibilities

At Folktandvården Vänersborg, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs. As a dentist with us, you play an important role in ensuring that patients feel well-received and secure during their visit. You will utilize your full range of skills, and the position also requires creativity, empathy, collaboration, a sense of community, and a service-oriented mindset.

The role includes, among other things:

• working both independently and together with your colleagues both inside and outside the treatment room
• performing both simple examinations and more advanced treatments, as well as emergency dental care
• contributing to the development of the practice.

The clinic is equipped with OPG, DK equipment, and digital impression taking. We are a VFU (clinical training) clinic that hosts students from the dentistry and dental hygiene programs at the University of Gothenburg, as well as students from the dental nurse program. Supervision/assistance of students and newly graduated dentists may also be part of the role.

Competency requirements and profile

• Licensed dentist
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry
• Swedish language skills equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school or Swedish C1 in both speech and writing
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and wise manner
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to other people in a listening and empathetic way
• Contribute to the development of the practice by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually planned supervision program during the first year. The supervision program is part of our three-year development program with up to 18 days of competence development.

About the recruitment process

The first step in the recruitment process is a digital interview with HR. After the application period ends, the clinic manager selects candidates and invites them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 25 and 26.

If you, as an applicant, have education/degree from another EU/EEA country than Sweden and lack references, it may be necessary to complete supplementary theoretical and clinical work tests as part of the recruitment process.
