We are now looking for a team-oriented dentist who wants to make a difference!

Main duties and responsibilities

At Folktandvården Falköping/Stenstorp, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs. As a dentist with us, you play a key role in ensuring that patients feel well-treated and secure during their visit. You will utilize your full range of skills, while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a service-oriented mindset.

The role includes, among other things:

  • Working both independently and together with your colleagues in the treatment room.
  • Performing both simple examinations and more advanced treatments, as well as some emergency dental care.
  • Acting as the team's specialist in oral diagnostics.

We are a VFU (clinical training) clinic and host students from the dentistry and dental hygiene programs at the University of Gothenburg. Supervision and assistance of students may also be part of the role.

Currently, a total of 38 employees work at our two clinics located in Falköping and Stenstorp. The position involves working at both clinics as needed. Competency requirements and profile

  • Licensed dentist.
  • Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry.
  • Swedish language skills equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school or Swedish C1 in both speech and writing.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and smart manner.
  • Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when workload is high.
  • Ability to collaborate and relate to other people in a listening and empathetic way.

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored supervision program during your first year. This program is part of our three-year development program with up to 18 days of competence development.

About the recruitment process

If you are not already employed by us, you will be contacted by recruiters from the HR department for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 25 and 26.

If you, as an applicant, have education/degree from another EU/EEA country than Sweden and lack references, it may be necessary to complete supplementary theoretical and clinical work tests as part of the recruitment process.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in suspicion and burden registers before employment.
