Main tasks and responsibilities

At Folktandvården Mariestad, we have broad competence and long experience in complex treatments for patients of all ages. Everything from dental-phobic patients treated with nitrous oxide in a calm environment to advanced implant prosthetics. The clinic has its own OPG. We are one of the region's nitrous oxide clinics and receive referrals for both children and adults.

As a Dental Hygienist with us, you will utilize your full competence and have the opportunity for development in your role. Dentists and Dental Hygienists have joint therapy meetings where all questions are welcome. We learn from each other - all for the benefit of our customers and patients.

The position includes among other things:

• Being an important part of the clinic's health-promoting and preventive dental care for all ages
• Work with own examinations as well as identifying, assessing, and planning appropriate oral health care measures
• Mobile dental care at nursing homes

Currently, a total of 31 employees work with us, including 17 dental nurses, 7 dental hygienists, and 7 dentists. The clinic has 16 treatment rooms. Competency requirements and profile:

• Licensed Dental Hygienist
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry
• Knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school or Swedish C1 in both speech and writing
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and smart way
• Able to give a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Contribute to the development of the business by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work

Merits:

• Experience working with examination sessions in two treatment rooms

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually designed supervision program during the first year. The supervision is part of our development program, which also includes network meetings, team and communication training, and observation at a specialist or general dental clinic.

About the recruitment process

You who are not already employed by us will be contacted by recruiters from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager selects from the applicants and invites them to an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 25-26.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in suspicion and burden registers before employment.
