About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Torpavallen Health Centre. We are looking for you who are interested in working with us as a nurse.

The health centre is a pleasant, well-functioning and friendly workplace located in Örgryte/Härlanda, a quiet area in eastern Gothenburg. The workplace is characterized by an open atmosphere, care for the patient, a willingness to develop, and collaboration across professional boundaries. We have approximately 11,000 registered individuals, of which a relatively large proportion are children and people of middle age. Our assignment also includes medical interventions at Child Health Services (BVC), elderly care homes, housing for people with functional variations, and home care.

About the Job

Primarily, we are looking for a nurse who is interested in working with our patients with mental ill health. You will be part of a team with various professions at the health centre to provide the best care for our patients with mental ill health. In addition to working with mental ill health, you will be part of the daily operations and work with telephone advice, sample collection, and other clinic duties.

Your duties at the health centre span a broad field and include the area of general medicine where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work in an advisory, health-promoting, and treating capacity in primary care, via telephone, at the clinic, through digital healthcare meetings, and sometimes even home visits.

The work takes place through both emergency and planned activities. You work largely independently where you triage, treat, and follow up with patients. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues at the unit and cross-professionally in the team, but also together with other actors such as housing providers, home care, and other specialist care. Together with the health centre management, you are responsible for developing and driving the operations forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our assignment; therefore, supervising students is also included as part of your role at the health centre.

About You

You are a licensed nurse, preferably with a few years of experience. It is an advantage if you have experience working with mental ill health, as a care coordinator, rehab coordinator, or previous experience working within primary care.

We are looking for you who take initiative in your work and are confident in making your own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can prioritize your tasks effectively.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, sensitive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you thrive in teamwork and have a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. You can express yourself well both verbally and in writing, and are an engaged and good listener during both digital meetings and visits at the clinic. We would appreciate it if you had an interest in digitalization and business development.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call current candidates for a telephone interview. Thereafter, the hiring manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them to an interview at the health centre.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this is so that we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the result was.
