Job Responsibilities

You will teach Chinese as a mother tongue. The responsibilities include lesson planning, teaching, follow-up, evaluation, contact with guardians, and grading. You provide the guidance and stimulation that students need for their learning and personal development based on their own prerequisites. You will be part of a work team and collaborate with colleagues as well as teachers and other staff at the school.

Mother tongue instruction aims to develop the student's knowledge of and about their mother tongue. Access to one's own mother tongue also facilitates the student's language development and learning in other school subjects. Within our operations, we actively work with various digital platforms, accessibility, and collegial learning.

As a mother tongue teacher, you are responsible for each student's education in their mother tongue in the teaching groups you are assigned to. Other tasks may also occur, and the content and conditions of the work may change over time. The teaching is primarily scheduled on Thursday afternoons.

Qualifications

The position requires you to have a Swedish teaching qualification and be well-versed in the school's regulatory documents such as the Education Act and the curriculum. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language and the language you will be teaching. Furthermore, you have documented experience of mother tongue teaching and good knowledge of the possibilities and challenges of bilingualism.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.

The municipality applies individual salary setting. The position covers 15%.

The position is a fixed-term appointment with a start date no later than August 11, 2026, until August 10, 2027.
