About the organization

Hagaskolan was established in 2019 and is a municipal primary school for students in grades F-9 with approximately 850 students and 100 employees. The school is located close to Vallentuna center with good communications and nature close by. Here you will find functional premises, outdoor classrooms, and a large, nice schoolyard that invites to both social and knowledge-based learning. Hagaskolan has been an accredited Erasmus+ school since spring 2022, which means we are putting extra effort into internationalization.

Responsibilities

You work as a teacher in French (50%). If you are qualified to also teach Mathematics and Swedish, the position can amount to 80%. The position is a combined role where teaching in French is the main task, but with the right qualifications/competence, you can also be responsible for our support structures: study support and two-teacher system in Mathematics.

By making students participants in the teaching, you awaken and nurture their interest and curiosity, making the teaching exciting and innovative. You base your teaching on a scientific foundation, have a formative working method, analyze teaching strategies, and develop and adapt teaching based on students' learning and towards increased goal fulfillment. In the meeting with students, you constantly develop yourself and your role as a teacher. In your classroom, all students have the opportunity to succeed and show their knowledge in many different ways. In addition to pedagogical work, you build relationships with your colleagues and contribute to the school's development. You collaborate with our experienced senior mentors, as they have the overall responsibility for the students' entire study situation.

Qualifications

Mandatory qualifications

• Certified teacher with qualification to teach French in lower secondary school.
• At least two years of documented experience teaching in grades 7–9.
• Experience in planning, conducting, and following up on teaching based on current curricula and course plans.
• Documented experience in using digital learning platforms for planning, communication, and assessment.
• Good ability to conduct formative assessment and provide feedback that supports student learning.
• Good ability to work language-developing and cooperatively.
• Experience working with extra adaptations within the framework of regular teaching.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language.

Meritorious qualifications

• Experience leading or participating in school development projects, preferably within internationalization.
• Experience teaching in heterogeneous student groups with varying knowledge levels.
• Education or further training in special education, language and knowledge-developing working methods, or classroom leadership.
• Qualification to teach Mathematics, Swedish, or other subjects.

The employment is a permanent part-time position (50% French) starting August 10, 2026. If you are qualified to also teach Mathematics and Swedish, the position can amount to 80%. We apply individual salary setting.
