Description

Rikstens School is looking for a certified teacher with qualifications in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO) for the older grades of primary school, to teach at the middle school level (grades 7-9).

The position involves teaching, primarily in grade 9, as well as mentoring duties. You will be part of the Grade 9 work team alongside experienced colleagues.

The position is a fixed-term appointment at 80% during the academic year 2026-2027.

Rikstens School is a beautiful and fresh school located in the newly built area of Rikstens Friluftsstad in Tullinge. The school has been in operation since 2013 and is today a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with approximately 770 students and 90 staff members.

• You are a certified teacher with qualifications in Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 7-9.
• You have experience as a teacher and preferably experience in mentoring.
• You are recognized as skilled at building relationships, can engage challenging students, and serve as a secure adult figure.
• You have a variety of tools to adapt your teaching based on students' needs, can explain concepts in many different ways, and can elicit learning situations.
• You have a good ability to collaborate and build alliances with guardians.

You are a driven, curious educator who gladly takes on challenges and tries new ideas. You are structured and have a good ability to organize your work. The position requires you to be a clear leader who creates a secure learning environment for your students, where mutual respect and collaboration permeate your teaching. High demands are placed on good collaboration skills with your colleagues in the Grade 9 work team and with other teaching staff at the school, as well as with management, student health services, and guardians.
