Stockholm International Academy is located in Häggvik, Sollentuna, and opened in 2016 in a quiet, nature-friendly area with good transport links via commuter train and bus. The school has approximately 370 students from preschool class to grade 9 and offers modern, functional, and well-equipped facilities, including its own sports hall as well as special rooms for crafts, home economics, and science.

We are a free school that follows the Swedish national curriculum, and instruction is conducted in Swedish. Our learning environments are designed to stimulate knowledge, creativity, and a sense of security. The school has two playgrounds that encourage play and movement, and a small forest is located just in the immediate vicinity. For our younger students, we offer an after-school center, and for older students, an after-school club.

The student health service plays a central and active role in the school's work and serves as support for both students and staff. We work based on a clear value foundation where knowledge, security, and democracy are in focus, and where every student is given the opportunity to develop as much as possible. The school has a high proportion of qualified staff and close collaboration with our sister school in southern Stockholm.

The organization consists of three work teams: lower primary, middle primary, and upper primary, and we continuously invest in professional development for all staff members.

About the Position

As a Lead Teacher at SIA Häggvik, you are a skilled educator who works based on scientific grounds and proven experience. You have experience with language-developing teaching methods and leading collegial learning within language development. By mentoring, inspiring, and supporting colleagues, you contribute to developing teaching so that all students' language and knowledge development are strengthened. You are engaged, development-oriented, and together with other lead teachers and school management, you drive the school's pedagogical development with the students' learning and goal achievement in focus.

We are looking for someone with a warm approach, high expectations of students, and who enjoys working relationally and focusing on language development in the early school years.

Requirements

We are looking for you who:

• meet the requirements of the ordinance for career positions
• are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach in grades 1–3
• have experience teaching in the earlier years of compulsory school
• have experience leading collegial learning
• are eligible to teach Swedish as a second language and have experience with language-developing teaching methods
• express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing
