About the role

Do you want to work in a role where the meeting with the audience is at the center – and where you actively contribute to both sales and audience experiences? We are now looking for a ticket seller and receptionist for a fixed-term position in our Front Service team. Gothenburg City Theatre is one of Sweden's largest theatres and welcomes a large audience every year. As an employee in Front Service, you play a key role in developing the relationship with our audience and turning interest into theatre experiences.

In this role, you work both at the ticket counter and in the reception. In the reception, you are responsible for creating a professional and welcoming reception for staff, guests, and partners. You ensure a smooth flow in the building by coordinating needs, providing service, and handling administrative tasks.

At the ticket counter, you help our visitors find the right performance and experience based on their interests and wishes. You actively work with the sale of tickets, theatre passes, and add-ons, and provide service via phone, email, and personal meetings. By listening to visitors' needs and guiding them to the right overall experience, you contribute to upselling, repeat visits, and strong audience relationships.

The work is varied and sometimes intense, for example in connection with ticket releases and campaign periods. You switch between different tasks and channels of communication, prioritize incoming matters, and work independently with responsibility for daily operations.

You are part of Front Service and collaborate closely with the Marketing Department regarding audience meetings, sales, and visitor experience. Through joint departmental meetings and ongoing knowledge sharing, you contribute valuable insights from the meeting with the audience. Together, you work to strengthen the relationship with our visitors, develop the offer, and create the best possible experience before, during, and after the theatre visit.

About you

We are looking for someone who is confident in customer interactions and motivated by working with both service and sales.

You have:

• Experience in sales where you have worked with advisory services and upselling
• Experience in meeting customers, preferably in a cash register, reception, or similar environment
• Good computer skills and the ability to work in different systems (experience with Tixly is an advantage)
• The ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing

It is also important that you:

• Have a professional and solution-oriented approach, even in demanding situations
• Enjoy a role where there is sometimes a lot to do and where you switch between independent work and close collaboration in a team
• Are proactive and take responsibility for driving the work forward with high quality and good service
• Have a genuine interest in creating good audience experiences and contributing to making every visitor feel welcome and well taken care of
• Appreciate meeting people and see the value in helping more people discover the experiences of performing arts

Interest in culture and performing arts is an advantage, but we primarily value your competence in service and sales.
