Your Role

As a primary school teacher in Year 1, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with the national curriculum. You work systematically to monitor, assess, and document students' knowledge development, ensuring that teaching maintains high quality and promotes students' learning and development. The role also includes mentorship, where you build and maintain trusting and professional relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are responsible for conducting development conferences and actively working to create clear and safe structures for students' social and academic development.

You are part of both a year-level team and the F-1 working group, collaborating closely on planning, assessment, and systematic quality work. To create the best possible conditions for student learning, you also collaborate with the after-school activities, other teachers, and the student health team. There is room to influence and develop teaching based on interest, knowledge, and experience.

Your Background

For this position, you must have:

• Teacher certification with eligibility for grades F-3
• Experience teaching in primary school
• Experience in mentorship
• Knowledge and/or experience in reading and writing acquisition
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience working with students who need extra adjustments and special support
• Good knowledge of NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses
• Experience using digital educational materials as a pedagogical tool.

You are structured in your teaching and work with clear procedures, thoughtful lesson plans, and a pedagogical learning environment that makes it easy for students to understand, follow, and succeed. You collaborate well and value close collegial learning, where planning and assessment are developed together. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create and maintain trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You understand that safe relationships are a prerequisite for learning and collaboration, and you work actively and consciously to create an inclusive and safe group. You have good pedagogical insight and adapt your teaching based on students' different prerequisites, needs, and ways of absorbing knowledge. You choose methods and tools that support each student's development. As a person, you are a secure, clear, and sensitive leader who can inspire, motivate, and develop both students and colleagues.
