Develop business-critical COBOL solutions at Handelsbanken in Stockholm – work with file integration in a complex environment.

Here you work with something that actually has to work. Every second. All year round. You step into a team responsible for the bank's file integrations – flows that connect systems across the entire organization and handle millions of files every year. It is stable, complex, and a prerequisite for the bank to function in everyday life.

You will play a central role in the transition, where a new file integration platform is being built in parallel with maintaining and developing what already exists. Here you contribute both to understanding what is there today and to shaping what is coming next. The team is experienced, with colleagues who have worked for a long time in both COBOL and the bank's environments. You collaborate closely with a sister team within the same area, as well as with other parts of the bank – everything from development teams to operations and business. In total, you support hundreds of systems in the bank.

You are based in Stockholm, with flexibility in everyday life depending on the situation and needs.

Your team and workplace

About you

You have worked with COBOL for a few years and feel comfortable navigating complex systems. You are used to analyzing, troubleshooting, and understanding how different parts fit together.

We believe that you:

• Have experience with COBOL development on z/OS.
• Have worked with analysis, design, and testing.
• Have experience with maintenance and further development of existing systems.
• Have knowledge of DB2, SQL, and JCL.
• Master Swedish and English in speech and writing.

It is a plus if you have experience with REXX, ISPF, or have worked in banking and finance.

As a person, you are structured and analytical. You thrive in complex environments where you get to delve into how systems work in depth. At the same time, you are curious, ask questions, and enjoy collaborating with others to find the right solution.
