About Sjölins Gymnasium Södermalm

This year, Sjölins Gymnasium Södermalm celebrates its 25th anniversary. We are located in beautiful premises on the heights of Södermalm, overlooking the entire Stockholm city center. With excellent transport connections nearby, our students come from all over Greater Stockholm and its surroundings. The school boasts a friendly atmosphere between students and teachers, characterized by a strong pedagogical presence that creates a sense of security, good relationships, and a warm environment. Sjölins Gymnasium Södermalm offers education within the Social Sciences program (with specializations in Social Sciences and Behavioral Sciences), the Natural Sciences program (with specializations in Natural Sciences and Social Sciences), and the Business program (with a specialization in Economics and Law). Additionally, we have held certificates for National Sports Education (NIU) for many years in handball, ice hockey, and football.

What we are looking for

NOTE: Extended application period: We are currently seeking teachers qualified to teach Biology and Natural Science for a fixed-term position at 70–85% until June 18, 2027. The start date is August 6, 2026, for the autumn term, or as agreed.

We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher with experience in similar roles. Previous experience in interdisciplinary work or project-based learning is advantageous, but most importantly, you are inspired by collaborating closely with colleagues and see opportunities to connect your courses to current real-world issues.

You have a genuine interest in students and their development – our teachers have big hearts and academic excellence, making them exceptional! You thrive in a team environment with motivated colleagues, where you collaborate with other competencies in collective learning to support students' knowledge development and well-being.

You are driven, curious, and actively work to ensure every student develops as far as possible based on their prerequisites. We also value that you are motivated to challenge yourself, your colleagues, and students, and are not afraid to push boundaries regarding innovation to contribute to your own as well as the school's development.
