Our trainee program is aimed at graduates from universities of applied sciences or universities who aspire to take on a leading role within Stadler in the future. The program lasts for 18 months and is divided into different modules based on the company's needs as well as your interests and skills. One module takes place at another Stadler site, usually in Switzerland. Below are some examples.

Project Management

Here you will learn about the tools and systems (including meetings, minutes, ERP systems) we use for project management. You will be able to lead smaller projects or sub-projects within a larger project in a structured manner. You will have contact with customers and can represent Stadler SRS and our interests.

Production

You will gain a holistic understanding of the processes in our production (including logistics, IT, finance, capacity planning, etc.). You will learn the most important components of the vehicles and apply SRMS (or other ERP systems).

Maintenance Engineering

In this module, the plan is for you to spend three months in Switzerland. You will gain an understanding of ISMO, the ECM regulation, projects for maintenance optimization, and depot design. You will also learn relevant systems (SRMS, Smarteam, TEC, etc.). You will gain an understanding of maintenance balancing, condition-based maintenance, and new maintenance technologies. You will also understand and be able to perform WLC calculations.

During the traineeship, you will also receive training in strategy, economics, leadership, and more at our headquarters in Bussnang, Switzerland.

About You

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, civil engineering, or business administration.
• You quickly adapt to new tasks and have a strong interest in learning new things.
• Proficiency in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
• High commitment, drive, and initiative.
• Willingness to travel for work.
