Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
Midsommarkransen Gymnasium is located right in Midsommarkransen, close to Södermalm, with good transport connections, and currently has approximately 800 students. A key part of our profile is that we offer NIU (National Approved Sports Education). Many of our students develop their sports at an elite level while simultaneously completing their upper secondary education here. We offer both university-preparatory and vocational programs, and we also have an adapted upper secondary school.
Most staff members at the school are teachers, but we also employ caretakers, counselors, school nurses, special needs educators, career guidance counselors (SYV), administrative staff, school librarians, and principals. The school has its own kitchen that prepares our delicious meals, as well as its own café.
Motivation, passion, and commitment are the keywords for our school, both for students and adults. By leveraging the strengths within the building, we are building a school where students and staff thrive and develop. A school where you are seen and your competencies are valued and developed.
Everyone should grow at MKGY
We want our school to be a learning organization based on scientific grounds, where we as individuals grow with new knowledge and new perspectives. Participation is important to us. We develop this school together, both staff and students. Therefore, your initiatives and commitment are important for Midsommarkransen Gymnasium to continue to develop.
