Praktiska Gymnasiet is the largest in Sweden within upper secondary vocational education. Praktiska Gymnasiet Liljeholmen

The school is located centrally in Liljeholmen and houses just over 650 students and 65 employees. We have nine programs: Hotel & Tourism, Sales & Service, Construction & Infrastructure, Electricity & Energy, Vehicle & Transport, Children & Leisure, Care & Assistance, the Industrial Program with a focus on Locksmith & The Craft Program with a focus on Hairdressing.

We train the workforce of the future, and the school conducts apprenticeship training, which means that students do practice half of the education time. This places high demands on us as a school to have close contact with the industry.

We have a solid student health team that is well integrated into daily operations. We have great diversity in our teaching staff, which we are very proud of.

Our study and career counselor is moving on to new challenges, so we are looking for a new one who can work at 80%.

Your Assignment

The position is a permanent position at 80% starting August 11. You will have close cooperation with the school's staff in the general counseling assignment with the aim of contributing to increased decision-making competence among students. You will also work with individual counseling and information for the school's students, both during upper secondary school and for future study and career choices. One of your assignments is that, together with the school's vocational teachers, you help develop the school's contacts with working life and thereby strengthen the work with work-based learning (APL). You collaborate with the school's student health team.

Your Profile

You are a trained study and career counselor with a sense for development. Social competence, solution focus, and initiative are important. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and value your ability to meet students based on their needs. Our students long to go out into working life, and your biggest task is to lead them there. As the education takes place in collaboration with local business, good local knowledge and good industry knowledge are meritorious.
