About the position

Do you want to inspire young people through music? We are now looking for a creative music teacher who wants to help create a joyful and developing education for our students in grades 7-9.

Responsibilities

As a music teacher, you will have the opportunity to promote students' knowledge development in music's various genres, expressions, and contexts, in teaching characterized by creativity and participation. The duties also include mentorship and, together with your colleagues, designing a good, joyful, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. There is also an opportunity to be part of the school's safety team.

Your duties include among other things:

• Teaching music in grades 7-9 according to the current curriculum.
• Being responsible for mapping, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the teaching.
• Challenging and supporting students so that they achieve good study results, as well as adapting the teaching based on students' different needs, prerequisites, and abilities.
• Creating a varied, joyful, and structured school day together with your colleagues, and the work is carried out in close collaboration with other educators, student health services, and guardians.

Requirements and qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A teaching degree and teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades 7-9 and the subject of music.
• Familiarity with and knowledge of the primary school curriculum.
• The ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of and experience working with digital tools, for example documentation in Unikum or Office.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• The ability to lead, motivate, and inspire students, helping them develop and feel well.
• The ability to create an open dialogue and adapt your actions based on the current situation.
• Interpersonal skills, taking initiative in social contexts, and the ability to create trust in your professional relationships.
• A non-hierarchical approach in your collaboration with colleagues, students, and guardians.
• The ability to plan and organize your work. You easily set goals, organize resources, and follow up and conclude activities.
• A curious, creative, and open attitude towards new solutions.

Employment terms and conditions

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: Daytime.

As a final candidate, you must be able to present a certificate from the police regarding your criminal record for work in school or preschool. This should not be attached to your application.
