About the role

Laboratory Medicine Västernorrland is a county-wide unit for laboratory activities within Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microbiology, and Transfusion Medicine. Approximately 115 people work within the operations in Sundsvall.

We are now looking for two biomedical analysts for Transfusion Medicine in Sundsvall. The positions are for temporary assignments, full-time, with a start date as agreed until 2027-03-31. There is a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

As a biomedical analyst, you will work with:

• Analysis determination and instrument handling
• Manual laboratory work
• Assessment and reporting of analyses
• Approve new blood donors for donation
• Perform blood donation
• Collect blood from donors
• Produce blood products
• Participate in improvement and development work

The work may involve irregular working hours.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed biomedical analyst or will be licensed shortly
• Has Swedish language skills in speech and writing at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale

It is an advantage if you:

• Have experience in clinical laboratory work within transfusion medicine
