Clinical Physiology in Örnsköldsvik is a workplace with approximately 8 employees and several cardiologists. We perform clinical physiological examinations for the hospital and primary care in Örnsköldsvik. Several examinations are carried out in collaboration with the heart clinic, for example, exercise ECG, echocardiography (echo) of the heart, and arrhythmia diagnostics, for example, long-term ECG registration. In addition, EEG, peripheral circulation tests, spirometry, sleep registrations, and 24-hour blood pressure measurements are performed. The hospital's pacemaker activity also originates from clinical physiology.

We are now looking for a biomedical laboratory scientist to join our team! The position is a temporary assignment, full-time, with a start date of 2026-09-01 until 2027-02-28.

Responsibilities

• Perform examinations such as exercise tests and EEG.
• Receive and prepare patients for examinations such as echocardiography.
• Connect and disconnect equipment and inform about examinations that are subsequently performed at the patient's home.
• Develop competence to interpret long-term ECGs, etc.
• Handle care administration at the clinic, for example, booking appointments.
• Participate in the maintenance of care hygiene at the unit.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Have a degree from the Biomedical Laboratory Science programme (180 credits) with a specialization in clinical physiology.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you

• Have completed advanced training in biomedicine or cardiology.
• Have experience working as a biomedical laboratory scientist.
• Have work experience in arrhythmia interpretation or experience in independently performing echocardiography.
